24.  Findmypast Census Records.  In 1861 James Le Petit, carpenter joiner, is living with his family at 7 Rodney Place, St Marys Islington, Finsbury. The transcript has his age as 24 but the original shows 34.  However his wife Emily is recorded as 23 on the original and their daughter Katherine is recorded as 10 suggesting maybe an earlier marriage.  On findmypast marriage records there is a marriage in the June quarter 1849 (volume 2 page 289).  James is not on the 1851 census, presumably in East India where his first two children were born.  In 1871 James & Emily, with the surname transcribed as "Petis" are with 3 children, Katherine is not present, maybe married by that time.  They are not found on the 1881 census.  There is a passenger record as Assisted Migrants  to Australia on the "Clyde" arriving about 3 April 1879 in Sydney.  As their son and daughter settled in Australia maybe James and Emily remained in Australia too

Arthur's occupation is "Ostrich feather dyer". In 1911 widowed Isabel,  still a "feather dresser" is still living at 71 Wright Street, Hull, Yorkshire, with her son Arthur,  25 "feather maker" and daughter Mabel Lina, 23 "feather dresser"
